West Coast Adventures!

Hello everyone!

So we are in Victoria, the most beautiful island in Canada, and we are loving it! This is our new blog and we will be posting our adventures on this site in the coming months. We will try to document our trip here as often as possible...so sign on anytime!

Our BC adventures began last Thursday, and we have been shocked and amazed by the scenery here every single day. When we first arrived, we stayed with Sarah's bro in Vancouver for a few days. He has an amazing 4th floor loft that has a gorgeous view of the city and its many gigantic mountains. BC is pretty much the province of never-ending mountains...its truly breath taking! We are now in Victoria, staying with Sarah's extremely British parents in their "castle". We had some trouble getting over their moat, but fear not, we took a ferry across it! We have gone on some extraordinary hikes in both Vancouver and Victoria. Here a few of our pics. Enjoy!
We miss you all very much!

Hey Mark and Val,
What a great experience this will be as you see first hand what the other parts of our earth have to offer in the way of culture, talents/technology and environment. I will be travelling vicariously through you as you "blog on" through Asia. Take care, no heedless monkey business and come home safely.
Love to you both,
Cheryl

Hey Guys,
I wish I was in Korea with you guys! I miss it...enjoy Itawon and make a stop in Insadong if you have a chance, it is a cute street with tons of traditional things there, it is a shopping area, but neat to see some of the traditional things....and I am sure you have had Korean BBQ and have Dolest Bibimbap (it comes hot), if not then you should, they were 2 of my favorites while there!!
Be safe and have fun

Krystal insisted we give you a birthday greeting, so here it is...
daniel eats ghosts, and his hair smells like candles - burning, which reminded us that its your birthday. also, the borat movie comes out, and its david's brrrrthday too. joe believes in mc squared. dad wishes that the abnormal normalities of krystal's sheddings are not for PG ratings.
Dear val, i apologize for joe and daniel's previous comments, (although this is still daniel, just typing mom's thoughts). I (mom) realize that everyone has access to this and will realize how crazy your brothers are. And Mark, same goes for you. You're not missing us at all, huh? Amen.
Dear Val, (judging by the professional and literate righting, you can tell this is dad). Val, u know that Daniel has sum literacy issues. I have signed him up for sum classes after skul with me so that he can learn how two right a good peace for your blog. dad.
Dear Val and Mark, now you know where Daniel gets his "literacy issues" from. We were all supposed to just say Happy Birthday to you Val - but you know how everyone here is (just a little craazie!) I apologize that all your friends will see this. Anyways, have a great time and a great birthday and lots and lots of love and hugs and kisses (Mark you will have to give her some on our behalf). I miss you lots but I'm so happy that you are getting to see the world. Mom
Amen.

Happppy Birthday Val and best wishes for a long, healthy and wonderful life. You definitely have Seoul, by the knickers!
The Asian stir fry is speeding right along and I'm on for the ride..but eating larvae? Never! This is Mark's idea of Fear Factor, I just know it..Yucks.
Pictures are wonderful, keep the blog going and love to you both. Keep safe and stay away from things that could make you sick so far away from home. love ya,
Your Aunt, Cheryl

Wow! That Justin sure made things interesting for you both. These pictures are beautiful and along with the journal entry update I feel I'm along for the ride. Must have been exciting to be "guest lecturers" and make up a curriculm for teachers.
Mark just cut out the weird side dishes - raw quails' egg..yuck! I'm seriously getting worried about your health holding up..lol.
Keep on having fun and stay safe and healthy.
Love to you both,
Cheryl

Dear Mark and Val,

Great commentaries of the various towns and villages and it's people. I felt exhausted just reading about all the places and adventures you both are having... the high altitude sickness and crazy lady got me worried. Glad that you both are none the worse for the wear and tear.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you both a very healthy, holy and happy Christmas and a New Year filled with health and prosperity. Take care. Love to you both
